Sorting through old notes is a great exercise. It reminds you of old forgotten wisdom, ideas, and projects. I just opened up my first notebook from being in the real world. The very first two words I wrote down: “What if.”
Before clients, before testing, before ‘the way we’ve always done it,’ there was what if? I can’t think of two better words to embrace.
‘What if’ opens you up to any possibility. It sets goals. It embraces change and chance. It can make you feel a little nervous. It can scare the hell out of you. The one thing what if will not do is allow a brand, an idea, a person, or anything else to remain stagnant. I’m glad I just found what if again. I encourage you to find and use it as well.
